Northwest Motorsports presents the 2011 Spokane Festival of Speed.
The 2011 Spokane Festival of Speed events will take place over 7 days, feature 2 major road racing eventsand a wide variety of community andsupport activities. Kickoff for the Festival is a VINTAGE RACING weekend on June 3-5 sanctioned by the Society of Vintage Racing Enthusiasts. This will be SOVREN’s inaugural vintage race at Spokane County Raceway. Over 120 classic and historic road racing cars will grace the raceway’s reconfigured road course during 3 fun-filled days. Centerpiece of the 2011 Spokane Festival of Speed is Northwest Motorsports’ Northwest Grand Prix scheduled for July 14-17.The Grand Prix is sanctioned by the International Conference of Sports Car Clubs. Northwest Motorsports’ first Grand Prix was held in 1959 and this year’sevent will again attract the finest and fastest road racers from throughout the Northwest. With recentrace trackreconfiguration and first-timecapability for large spectator attendance, the Festival expects significant attendance by participants and spectators alike. All Festival races will be held at Spokane County Raceway’s road racecourse.
